Earlier this month on October the 16th, DOPE Group and DOPE Gallery grouped together to create Shanghai International Art Competition with the media support of That´s it Magazine and ShicShanghai. The night was a spectacular scene that shaped Shanghai International Art Competition and that showed the true side of the graffiti art culture, as a way of expression.

The event was successfully held in Shanghai's newest, luxury landmark WE@Bund. In 90 minutes, the guests witnessed the creation of artists live. From the clean white walls, a stroke slowly sketched out general lines and eventually became a work of art. After 90 minutes, the painting was completed. Guests were then allowed to vote for their favorite pieces.

The winner of the Shanghai Art Competition for the first preliminary round was K-Real!

The Ukrainian Font artist explored the linkage with the body and its space. The hope was to capture and convey a sense of the eternal human existence, as well as the endless meaning behind the world we live in.

The Shanghai International Art Competition invited a blend of Chinese and foreigner artists to WE@Bund. With so many different styles but with the same aim of using two things, their creativity and imagination, the artist shaped live creations in front of a judging audience.

4 Artists, 4 walls, 90 minutes live painting, 1 winner.

And…That was it!
