Food on the Wall - Inpiring prints and patterns for AW 15/16
Creating materials using food Cecile Elisabeth Rudolph has laser cut salmon skin to create her own edible lace, created textural pattern through edible coatings inspired by caviar and printed with bread dough.
Inspired by food from her past, she looks to both traditional and modern cuisine such as Smørrebrød – an open sandwich that is decorated with colourful cold food – and translates it into textural print and pattern inspiration. The resulting fabrics are experimental, tacile and raw, with an subtle Nordic aesthetic. More about the danish born, Central Saint Martins designer here
