Here's a little something for the drinking and traveling people like you and me. The Scotch enthusiasts at Dewar's have joined forces with the fine folks behind Freeman's Sporting Club to create a custom travel roll inspired by the vintage one Tommy Dewar used to carry his dad's whisky — no "e" in there; this is Scotch we're talking about — around the globe. The result is a heavy-duty roll cut from water-repellent 18 oz. waxed canvas, finished with English bridle leather trimmings by J&E Sedgewick & Co., and lined in Dewar's Highlander Tartan. But despite a look that clearly owes more to the UK than the USA,
Freeman's fixation on local manufacture means it's made by hand right in NYC. It comes with a flask in case you need a quick nip here or there, but it'll also keep a full bottle of the good stuff nice and secure — though that's, sadly, not included with the bag itself. Oh, and in case you get too far into the drink at your location of choice, the rest of the space in the roll is perfectly sized to carry your overnight essentials. So you're set for the evening — and the morning after.
