Skiing close by to Shanghai?
Heading for Shanghai soon or already there? Then what about going skiing?
Well it's very possible and only 4 hours away by bus!
It all started one Friday night in Shanghai where a group of foreigners shared a bus to the ski resort. The hotel gave you a large choice of room styles, but the most interesting was the sleeping pods, just like the ones they have in Japan, and they are actually very cozy and private.
The next morning started early, with the first view of the freshly made snow (as the weather was too warm, snow had to be improvised over night, but this month they have snow for sure). By 10 am the opening ceremony started followed by DJs playing at the sight, and shortly after the skiing and snowboarding begun. It's a great opportunity to learn there, as the hill isn't too steep.
To top this, the afternoon was spent at the resorts hot springs, with a large variety of different temperature and color pools to relax in, once again with the DJs that came along playing, creating a fun relaxing vibe which lasted till very late with food and drinks. By Saturday morning it was back to good old Shanghai, although only 2 nights at the ski resort, every second was worth it and made for good memories.
Jiang Nan Tian Chi Ski Resort is a hidden gem in Anji, China. It welcomes all kinds of snow sliders and gliders with skiing, snowboarding, to its place. The terrain provides many options for all types of skiers and snowboarders.
