YOHANIX for Concept Korea
Yohan Kim's SS17 collection presented during Shanghai Fashion week in cooperation with another Korean brand initiated 'Concept Korea'.
The mood portrayed throughout his collection had a very dark yet playful feeling to it. Knowing from his past collections that there is always a lingering feeling of darkness around, you can focus further on how he has mixed and matched different materials together and played with special features on garments to make each item unique. This collection has shown signs of denim, sheer fabrics, and lace mainly, with features of cut-outs, embroidery, studding, and printing. This could come across messy, yet he has managed to make it look chic and stylish, putting together odd fitting combinations of different fabrics and features.
As more garments walked down the runway, the collection went from a lighter tone to one darker. From cute to dark edgy. You could describe it as a feeling of a punk music genre, going from a more subtle cute side of it to the more extreme version of it.
Accessorised with statement chokers, heels worn with socks, and PVC boots; these were quite common accessories that you could spot this season at fashion week world wide.
A very wearable collection to bring out the inner bad-girl.
