SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK SS17 TRENDS REVIEW

SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK SS17 TRENDS REVIEW

Kicking off in 2001, today Shanghai Fashion Week (SHFW) is stronger than ever. With latest additions of Labelhood, the movement introducing young pioneering brands, and STAR Fashion Week, which presents international labels, SHFW had a lot to show this season. C.J.YAO once again collaborated with fast food chain KFC, Leaf Xia with MAGNUM ice-cream company, and FLONAKED incorporated oh-so-cute minions of Universal Studios into her SS17 collection. Total amount of shows at Taipinghu park, Labelhood and STAR counted up to 80 runway and fashion presentations. All so different and vibrant, yet united in some detail choices. Here are some trend outtakes that we will be awaiting next spring.

Ruffle it up

Ruffled tops, ruffled collars, ruffled socks, ruffled everything. Isn’t it pretty?

Life in pink

Remember those Barbie inspired colors? Well, they’re back in the game: the more the merrier.

Denim is here to stay

It’s not the little black dress that runs the runways, it’s denim…all over the place.

Sunny side up

Sun is back, shining brighter the ever on the runway.

Apart from the aforementioned, we also saw a lot of strings, chains and fishnets. Seems like after all, we’re back in the game of less layers and more accessories. Note the trends, integrate them in your daily wear, stay true to your style...and That's It.

Yours truly,
