Rebecca Louise Law’s Floral Installation Art
Rebecca Louise Law is an East-London based installation artist, known for her impressive transformation of spaces using thousands of flowers and other materials collected in the nature. Alumni from Newcastle University in England where she studied Fine arts and daughter of a gardener, Law has been working with natural elements for nearly 20 years. Being experienced, she included floral compositions into her student final project and previously worked with several florists to become a real expert in her field today.
Always fascinated about the relationship between humans and nature as well as natural changes and preservation, the British artist is constantly in search of new inspiration and materials to create astonishing suspensions. From her own words, she is willing to “show what a flower is and what it can become”.
“Most of my installations are reflecting what’s happening in nature, by looking at plant patterns or observing the way something grows. Then I imagine these themes in real life and times that by a thousand so that it becomes fantasy,” says Law.
Spending from one day to a whole week to set up the unique artworks, Law is often showcasing her work in public spaces, museums and galleries, and over the past few years she has been commissioned by prestigious brands like Hermès, Mulberry, Cartier and Gucci to arrange the decoration for special events, fashion dinners or fancy cocktail evenings.
Once again, less is never more, more is definitely more!
And... That's it !
