Saturday has arrived and the only way to start it right is with a good brunch. Twosome Coffee is a Korean import place that does western style breakfast and food such as a bakery selection, prepared salads and sandwiches etc. The place is also famous for its delicious sweet items, particularly its huge waffles with homemade yogurt strawberry layer cake.

Summer means BBQ to us, so check out Kakadu’s Big Barbie where they have all you can eat lamb, beef, pork ribs, chickens and more. The buffest is 128RMB and you can add 60RMB to get free flow soft drinks, juices and Australian chardonnay. It’s a perfect place for families too with a play area and prices at only 74 RMB for children aged 6-10 and free for under 6 year olds. The big BBQ blow out is available from 12-4pm on Saturdays.

Continuing from our Art theme, the perfect place for a sunny afternoon would be to check out some contemporary art. ‘I will be your eyes’ at ART+ presents the works of seven Chinese artists who are all born in the 1990’s, their artwork is about the artists growing up in an era of fast-changing China with the impact of the internet and consumer capitalism have had on the lives of a special generation.

One of the best high-end late dining places to go in Shanghai, Mr and Mrs Bund are offering set menus from 250 RMB per person on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11pm-2am. After your lovely late dinner you can head over for some drinks on a Saturday night. Every Saturday The Cut hosts a summer rooftop party, Le Terraza Sunset Rooftop party, it open from 6pm till late and there is no entry fee but have great deals of mojitos with 3 for 100RMB.
