A must for all Studio Ghibli Fans
Japan is known for delicious sushi, beautiful cherry blossoms and - you guess it - for its "Anime" culture that is not only popular among locals but is loved by fans in probably almost every country in the world. And it is those non-Japanese fans who will be delighted about SPOKE's announcement to host an exhibition as a tribute to Hayao Miyazaki, the director of Studio Ghibli and mastermind behind classics such as "My Neighbor Totoro", "Howl's Moving Castle" or "Spirited Away" (which won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film in 2003).
The "Miyazaki Art Show" will take place from February 4th to 25th at SPOKE's San Francisco location and features works of over 50 international artists who were inspired by Miyazaki`s distinctive style and characters, with every work reflecting the artist`s own perspective of the world of Studio Ghibli.
Miyazaki has announced several times that he will withdraw as director at Studio Ghibli - and then came back with a new movie shortly after - so let's hope he will keep his position and continue making great movies!
And... That's it!
