H&M - Calling all Conscious Consumers
“Sustainable fashion goes further than organic cotton tees”
H&M has launched a brand new sustainable garment collection campaign and is urging all shoppers to get involved. Laziness is no longer an excuse not to recycle and H&M is determined to bring back the long-lost conscience of fast fashion.
Have you ever wondered what happens when you throw away your clothes? Currently, the journey of unwanted clothes ends with already compromised landfills being stretched to their max. Is this how we want the fashion cycle to end?
“Re-wear, Reuse, Recycle”
So... how can you get involved?
Just head down to any H&M store worldwide and donate your unwanted clothes. It doesn’t matter which brand, fabric or the condition they are in. (yes...even the clothes you've ruined in the wash...stains galore are accepted!)
Once donated, H&M will then sprinkle their magic dust and turn the fabric into something new. Any excess is then split between developing the technology behind the recycling of textile blends and social projects dealing with equality and the inclusion of marginalised groups. And that’s not all. For every one kilogram collected H&M has vouched to give 0.02 euros to a local charity. What more could you ask for.
