IKEA's living room of the future
What does your perfect living room look like? Do you like to keep it tidy and simple (so you don't have to do a last-minute clean up sessions before your guests arrive), or is this the space where you place all the things you like so that everybody can see it?
Swedish furniture retailer IKEA says, the living room is one of the most important rooms in the house of their customers and that the furniture placed in this room and their functions are changing along with the way people live. It is this particular space that will be in the center of IKEA's first solo stage at this year's Salone del Mobile, where the company presents its ideas for "the living room of the future" through a mix of workshops, installations, interviews, music and live prototyping.
IKEA will also hold a film festival at a different venue to share the idea behind its "Delaktig" daybed project, which is a collaboration with British designer Tom Dixon and one of six new collections that will be presented to the public during the event.
Salone del Mobile is the world's biggest furniture fair and will take place from April 4th to April 9th in Milan, Italy.
And... That's it!
