2017 Spring/Summer Fashion Trends

2017 Spring/Summer Fashion Trends

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Valentines day… have all passed, which means one thing - winter will soon be over and it’s time to refresh your wardrobe for some new season items.

Based on the catwalks at London, New York, Paris and Milan Fashion weeks, here we have listed top 5 spring/summer trends you need to know about for 2017.

1. SLOGANS

Under the influence of this election season maybe, the slogan tees with political and social stances are all the rage. Maria Crazia Chiuri’s “We Should All Be Feminists” at Dior surely takes the clearest political messaging at Fashion Week. Guess this is the time to let your T-shirts do the talking.

3. RUFFLES

Ruffles still remain huge this year. Thinking it is too girly for you? This season, those ruffles were presented in an unusual fabrication.  We spotted Alexander McQueen’s black leather ruffles which give a much cooler and modern look.

4. COLOURS

Spring and summer are the perfect season to play around with colours. From the runways, we summarised that Fuchsia and Primrose Yellow are the colours of this year. If you are not confident about wearing those colours, don’t worry, white is also one of the trendy colours. It is the ultimate classic colour that brings you the feeling of purity, innocence and light.

5. STRIPES

Stripe is the classic print rules for spring. Without a doubt, there were so many different kind of stripes during the shows. From banker stripes, graphic stripes to seaside stripes. But with an update in knits, sheer fabric and even asymmetrical cuts.
