Infinite power for your phone

Infinite power for your phone

Let me begin by saying, FINALLY...something useful! I’m a huge proponent of using Kickstarter.com as a place to get financial backing but needless to say, some of the projects that make it to that website can't get financial backing through traditional methods simply because they aren’t good enough. I must say, I am quite pleased that something the average, everyday person can benefit from has risen amidst the heaps of garbage.

So what is this thing exactly?

HandEnergy is a portable USB charger created by Michael Vaga, Alex Novik and Daniel Pertsev. Founder, Michael Vaga got the idea after being one of the many people in the world that has suffered from being constantly on-the-go and regularly found himself seeing that dreadful “Low Battery” message on his mobile phone.

Nowadays, many people in this position find themselves carrying their USB charger in their purse or backpack daily. The only problem with this is, you still need to find a computer or outlet to plug into. I can speak for China (and other parts Asia) as we have since moved to “Power Banks”, which is a small, (usually) rectangular accessory that charges and stores energy that can be used to recharge your devices on-the-go. The only problem with this is, it still needs to be charged itself and if you’re having issue keeping your mobile phone charged, chances are your power bank will suffer the same fate.

To combat this, HandEnergy was created.

HandEnergy is about the size of an apple, so it’s easily handheld. The device is self-powered and creates its own energy through high speed RPM rotations. In laymen’s terms, the more you rotate the device, using the power of your hands and wrist, the more energy it creates, which is then stored inside and can be used to charge your mobile phone or any USB device without the need of an outlet or computer.

My only question is, why wasn’t this invented sooner?!

The creators embarked on a European Tour to demo the product with real people in August 2016 with full production starting February 2017. Their product has already gained enough funding for full production but you can still purchase one via their Kickstarter page! HandEnergy will be tentatively shipped in May 2017.

And... That’s It!
