Skyscraper designed to hang from an asteroid

Sometimes looking at the new technologies makes it really hard to differentiate between science fiction and reality. This New York based architecture firm put forward a design for a skyscraper which is going to be hanging from the sky with the help of air cables which are attached to an asteroid in SPACE!

Dubbed the Analemma Tower, the proposed structure is set to be the world’s tallest building and can be built in and transported to anywhere in the world. As it will be attached to an asteroid placed in a geostationary orbit, the tower will be moving in a figure-eight path that will pass over several countries in 24 hours.

“Business is conducted at the lower end of the tower, while sleeping quarters are approximately 2/3 of the way up. Devotional activities are scattered along the highest reaches, while surface transfer points take advantage of high topography,” Clouds Architecture Office describes. At the top of the building, residents will be able to experience 40 extra minutes of daylight due to the curvature of the Earth. But the company also adds that,  “While researching atmospheric conditions for this project, we realized that there is probably a tangible height limit beyond which people would not tolerate living due to the extreme conditions”.

Well how cool that would be though.
