“NOTHINGNESS OF AMELIE” BY SYDNEY SIE
The photographic series “Nothingness of Amelie” by 26 year old Sydney Sie captivates us with bright colors and imagery. Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Sie uses her talent to shoot colorful and surreal fine art photography.
Using strong, gradient colors alongside models with concealed faces, Sie creates an optical illusion with the way the models are posed. Capturing surreal moments, she has an approach to good graphic design as graphical elements are often visible in her works.
I’m always searching for a unique way to see the inside and outside of things, and depict the extreme of sleeping with my eyes open. The project “The Nothingness of Amelie” is full of comfortable colors, and it’s just like lying on an extremely soft bed, which like lying in the clouds. At some point, all of them will dissolve into nothingness.
Much like "Nothingness of Amelie", Sie's focus on the female body can be seen in her other works. Check out Sydney Sie's online portfolio HERE.
And... That's it!
