Lilith & Olaf - The World's Largest Mural in Norway
The world's largest murals is now visible from planes flying into and out of the nearby Sola airport. The work comes courtesy of French artists Ella & Pitr, Titled Lilith & Olaf. The mural covers the majority of the 21,000 square meters of the roof of the Block Berge Bygg building and depicts a curled-up woman with a figurine of King Olaf I, who ruled Norway from 995 – 1000 A.D. His birthplace is purportedly an islet in the lake of Frøylandsvatnet, which is only meters from the building itself. The mural will be officially “opened” on September 4, coinciding with the 2015 Nuart festival.
And... That's it!
